This product came as advertised: terrific price, prompt delivery. BUT they did not disclose that the expiration date is less than 6 months. The expiration date was listed on the packing slip AFTER they arrived, although they did say you could return them if you didn't open the package. I'd run out of strips and didn't have a choice. Just be careful. Deep Discount Centers phone number is (832) 368-5877 if you want to call before ordering. NOTE: when they found out what had happened, they sent me an additional 50 test strips FREE with an expiration date of 10/2010, a more than generous action. I agree, they're good guys and I'll order with them again.

I ordered the 100 count test strips and received 2 boxes of 50 count. Although substitutions were noted, the invoice indicated that the expiration dates were in 2010 (product was ordered June 2009). After looking at the boxes, I noticed that one of them was due to expire in Sept 2009. This particular box also had the prescription information for a patient in PA. I contacted Deep Discount Center who said the reason for this is because they purchase supplies from pharmacies in cases where the customer did not pick up their medication/supplies. I was kind of disturbed to see this woman's personal information (address, phone #, DOB, etc) on the package. I shredded her personal information, and I hope anyone else in this situation would do the same. Deep Discount Center sent me a free 50 count box of test strips free of charge due to the error in expiration.Although this has nothing to do with Deep Discount Center, I am more cautious now about ordering prescriptions at local pharmacies and I would like to warn other consumers that if they do not pick up what they ordered at pharmacy, it may end up in a warehouse like Deep Discount Center. I hate to think how many of my prescriptions with my personal information may be floating around.

I have looked around and found 100 strips at walmart come out to more then a $1 a strip. Cvs even more. Walgreens are about the same price as cvs. I went to SAMs and costco and 100 strips are around $120. Amazon had them for less then half price .think about it. Every time you use a strip it like burning a $1 bill If you have to test yourself more then 3 times a day like I do.look how much you will be saving getting them at Amazon. Also shipping was faster then I was told and it was free. save your money. I will be getting my strips from amazon from now on and you should too.3-3-13 UPDATEI do want to update you on a great deal i found... I dont have insurence and the cost of testing was killing me. so my doctor had gave me meters to try for free.so i went on a quest to find the best meter that was afordable and accurate. I think all the meter companeys are ripping us all off. so after my own research I have now replaced my meater with a True result Blood Glucose Starter Kit meter.. look it up on amazon. the meter kit is less then $10 and 100 strips are around $19.(19 cents each not $1.00 ) I put all my meters side by side and the true result meter was better. no joke i must have around 20 meters from every company and i've tried them all. most show very high and unreliable numbers. some were 60 points off. the true Result meter was on the money every time..save your money.. you wont be sorry..you will be thanking me..
