I've seen some pretty sad reviews for this, and I have to state: it's a vegan, raw protein powder. It can be chalky if not blended properly. But, when it IS blended right, it's PHENOMENAL. Best recipe: 1.5 scoops of the powder (I use the vanilla); 4-6 oz almond milk (or soy or rice milk); 2 oz water; 5 ice cubes + 1 tbsp almond or peanut butter. I put it in a VitaMix blender on variable speed til smooth. YUM.Another way is with the same almond milk or other "milk" , but just use cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice and vanilla.Another way is to blend with tofu and make a pudding.Or use fruit like frozen strawberries.I like it best after I work out in the morning. I feel replenished and recharged.You just have to be creative. If you're vegan for any length of time, this should be second nature anyway.To the manufacturer: you might want to start tucking a little recipe "booklet" under the lid. The few pennies it would cost to do this would be more than made up for with repeat bizness once folks understand the best way to mix it.Thank you for a superior product that delivers high vegan protein without soy.

I'm a vegan that lifts weights and uses protein powder to help build muscle mass and avoid sore muscles from protein deficiency, and this is the first vegan protein powder I have found that ACTUALLY TASTES GOOD. Fantastic product.

I really wanted to like this, because of the reviews, and because their website makes it sound like the best choice in rice proteins, but I just couldn't take that stevia taste. I normally have a hard time drinking anything with artificial sweetener, but I was hoping it wouldn't be so strong. Unfortunately it's hard to miss, and mixing it with anything that adds natural sugar only makes it worse, so the only way I could even chug it while holding my nose was with water. I guess if you're used to drinking diet sodas and such, it may not bother you so much.Now, while the vanilla and chocolate both have stevia, the "natural" flavor does not. I would have liked to have tried it, but honestly I picked up some "Nutribiotic" brand vanilla rice protein for less than half the price that I think tastes pretty good, and has about the same amount of protein and amino acid profile, with less calories. The only factor that I would say the Sun Warrior brand beats Nutribiotic at is that it is less gritty/chalky, so it mixes better. So, if I was willing to spend the money again, I would feel confident that the natural flavor would be top notch.I don't understand why companies use sweeteners like stevia. If I wanted to add a little sweetness to my smoothie, I could just add a little honey or agave nectar, or sugar. A half a teaspoon of sugar is only 7 calories, and sweetens plenty.
