I was looking to add fiber to my diet due to colon issues and then watched Brenda Watson on PBS. I bought her book on Amazon and am always looking for ways to add fiber to my diet to get 35 grams.This shake mix is great! It's not too sweet and it's sweetened with stevia, so it won't spike your blood sugar. It tastes fabulous - I make it with unsweetened soy milk in a personal size blender.I usually grab a shake on my way out the door to work in the morning - to make sure I have eaten SOMETHING. It takes the edge off my hunger until I can get a chance to grab a bite (I'm not a morning person).It also has the kind of fiber that doesn't bloat up your stomach.I haven't tried it - but, it's possible to add fruit and make it different flavors. This is a great product!

As a personal trainer, I've tried a lot of different diet and protein shakes. I finally think that I have found one that is perfect with regards, to taste and content, especially for women. I really like the chocolate creme flavor. It's not at all chalky and tastes great if you blend it into milk. It has 20 grams of protein per serving, which is significantly higher than most os its competitors like SlimFast etc. More importantly, it has 10 grams of soluble fiber which is almost a third of the recommended daily dose of fiber (35grams). The soluble fiber, unlike insoluble fiber, is broken down by bacteria in the colon into short chain fatty acids that can circulate in the blood stream and are beneficial in heart health, control of insulin pathways, weight loss, etc.

Bought the book and then the shake mix. I'm a chocolate lover however I wasn't pleased with the chocolate version so next time I tried the vanilla and made my own chocolate taste. I mix with 1/2 c.vanilla flavored Almond milk, 1/2 water, 1/2 frozen banana (adds even more fiber), a tsp of vanilla favoring, 1 Tbsp of Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa & a couple of ice cubes. Yummy is all I can say.... did I lose weight? You bet ya, 8 pounds in about 6 wks, just in time for my daughter's wedding!
