It's a mervellous mask-cream. After application,when you clean your skin you are so surprised to see the result : a skin so clear and soft. This product has not only this delicate fragrance well-known in Shishido cream but is also among the best products in the Shisheido line.

The mask, like most of the Benefiance products I have used, has a sweet sort of perfume-y scent. It has a gel-like appearance, is slightly pink in color, with light red flecks which are the Vitamin E granules. I only got a small sample size with enough for about 3 massages.I didn't follow any fancy massage techniques as recommended by Shiseido, but just used it sort of like I would any exfoliating product by massaging my cheeks and forehead in a circular motion. I noticed immediately that it the mask felt a bit greasy, perhaps not what I would normally put on my face. The other interesting part were the particles - although quite small, I could definitely feel the exfoliation. After massaging for about 2 minutes I let the mask sit on another five or so, then removed it with a facial wipe.My face did indeed feel softer and very moisturized. There was no need to put on any night cream after that. I had been a bit concerned that it would be a bit greasy, but the greasiness did dissipate. However, it did feel a bit like my skin on a humid day - slightly sticky and moist. It's not the most pleasant feeling to go to bed with, so the next time I used it earlier in the evening and by the time I went to bed the slight sticky feeling had disappeared. In the morning my skin felt refreshed and moisturized, even without having used a night cream.My one other issue, which is an issue with the Benefiance line in general, is the scent. It smells like something my mother would have used years ago. It amazes me that Shiseido uses this scent as most reviewers of their products, myself included, describe it as old-fashioned.I think it's a good product for women with mature or very dry skin, but if you don't like heavier creams, then stay away from it. 4 stars

The scent of this product did NOT bother me at all. I am almost 62 . Have searched for a mask that would both hydrate and help with lines on my face. Firm up an area. I have had small lines above outer corner of my eye ...not talking about crows feet here. (The forehead area just above the orbital area of the eyes. ) I have tried several products the last 3 yrs and this mask is the VERY first one where I could see an immediate FIRMING result. Used it last night right after I got out of the shower. Left it on about 5 or 6 minutes. Rinsed off gently. This morning...that area above my eye...looks much much better. I can see a difference and I am amazed ..totally.
